TEE 83/CG/83 - Catalan Talgo

Spanish Talgo train with route Barcelona-Gerona-Port Bou-Cerbère- Perpignan-Narbonne-Béziers-Sète-Montpellier-Nîmes-Avignon-Valence- Romans Bourg de Péage-Grenoble-Challes les Eaux-Chambéry- Aix les Bains le Revard-Culoz/Culoz-Bellegarde-Genève. Departure 9.45, arrival 19.35. In summer 1970 the stops in Romans Bourg de Péage and Sète were abandoned. The number 83 was used in Spain and Switzerland, the number CG in France. Renumbered in TEE 73/72/73.

TEE 84/GC/84 - Catalan Talgo

Reversal of TEE 83/CG/83, departure 10.40, arrival 20.30. Also here in the summer of 1970 the stops in Romans Bourg de Péage and Sète omitted. 84 was used in Switzerland and Spain, GC in France. Renumbered in TEE 70/71/70.

Summer 1971-Winter 1981/82

TEE 70/71/70(5070) - Catalan Talgo

Successor of TEE 84/GC/84. In the winter of 1975 the route was modified to Genève-Bellegarde-Lyon Brotteaux-Valence-Avignon-Nîmes-Montpellier- Béziers-Narbonne-Perpignan-Cerbère-Port Bou-Gerona-Barcelona with modified timing (departure 11.35, arrival 20.45). During the summers of 1974 to 1979 (daylight saving time in Spain, not in France and Switzerland) arrival was one hour later in 1980 (DST in Spain and France, not in Switzerland) departure was one hour earlier. The number 70 was used on the route Genève-Culoz, from winter 1975 to the Culoz bypass and in Spain (replaced by 5070 from summer 1975), 71 was used on the remainder. Abandoned in summer 1982.

TEE 73(5073)/72/73 - Catalan Talgo

Successor of TEE 83/CG/83 with modifications similar to TEE 70/71/70(5070). With the modification in summer 1975 timing was changed to a departure of 9.45 and an arrival of 19.00. In the summers of 1974 and 1975 departure was one hour later; in 1976 to 1979 departure was 30 minutes later and arrival 30 minutes earlier, in 1980 arrival was one hour earlier. The number 73 was used on the Swiss part from Culoz (later from the Culoz bypass) and in Spain (to be replaced by 5073), 72 was used on the remainder. Stopped in summer 1982.

TEE 70/71D/70 - emergency Catalan Talgo

During a period in the winter of 1972 the train could not run the normal route and was detoured under the emergency number through Lyon; the same route as the train would run 3 years later, but with a stop in Culoz. On the French section the number was augmented with the letter D (Detour).

TEE 73/72D/73 - emergency Catalan Talgo

The emergency reversal of the previous one.
