TEE 694/MZ 1(83) - Ticino

Morning train Milano-Zürich with stops: Milano-Como-Lugano-Zürich, departure about 9.20, arrival 12.20; put forward about 5 minutes in the course of time. The number 695 was used in Italy, MZ 1 in Switzerland, changed to 83 summer 1963. Renumbered in TEE 88.

TEE ZM 2(82)/695 - Gottardo

Morning train Zürich-Milano with the same stops. Departure about 8.45, arrival 12.45. In summer 1965 lengthened with stops Basel- Zürich/Zürich-Lugano- with modified times (departure about 7.35, arrival 13.35). ZM 2 (changed to 82 summer 1963) was used in Switzerland, 695 in Italy. Renumbered in TEE 89.

TEE 696/MZ 3(87) - Gottardo

Reversal of TEE ZM 2/695. Departure 17.05, arrival 21.05. Also this one lengthened to Basel in 1965 with a departure of 17.10 and an arrival of 22.25. In Italy the number 696 was used and in Switzerland until summer 1963 MZ 3 and from that time 87. Renumbered in TEE 90.

TEE ZM 4(86)/697 - Ticino

Afternoon reversal of TEE 694/ZM 1. Departure Zürich about 12.40, arrival Milano about 16.40. ZM 4 (and from summer 1963 86) was used in Switzerland and 697 in Italy. Renumbered in TEE 87.

Summer 1967-Winter 1970/71

TEE 87 - Ticino

Successor of TEE 86/697. During the summers (daylight saving time in Italy) arrival was one hour later. Renumbered in TEE 57.

TEE 88 - Ticino

Successor of TEE 694/83. During the summers (DST in Italy) departure was one hour later. Renumbered in TEE 56.

TEE 89 - Gottardo

Renumbering of TEE 82/695. During the summers arrival one hour later. Renumbered in TEE 59.

TEE 90 - Gottardo

Successor of TEE 696/87. In the summer of 1969 shortened to Zürich (only this direction), arrival about 20.55. Also during the summers departure one hour later. Renumbered in TEE 58.

Summer 1971-Summer 1988

TEE 56 - Ticino [Summer 1971-Winter 1973/74]

Renumbering of TEE 88. During summers one hour later departure. Abandoned in summer 1974.

TEE 57 - Ticino [Summer 1971-Winter 1973/74]

Renumbering of TEE 87, again during the summers arrival one hour later, also abandoned in summer 1974.

TEE 57 - Gottardo [Summer 1987-Summer 1988]

Renumbering of TEE 59 (see below) with an added stop in Zug. Abandoned winter 1988/89.

TEE 58 - Gottardo

Renumbering of TEE 90. In summer 1974 lengthened to Genova with stops Genova Brignole-Genova-Milano/Milano-Como- only during the summer with a departure of 16.15. From the summer of 1979 the section Genova Brignole- Genova was abandoned and from 1980 onwards the train was shortened again to Milano. Also in the summer a stop in Bellinzona was added. During the summer 1971-1979 departure was one hour later, in the summer 1980 arrival was one hour earlier. In the summer of 1987 a stop in Zug was added. Abandoned in the winter of 1988/89.

TEE 59 - Gottardo [Summer 1971-Winter 1986/87]

Successor of TEE 89. Lengthening to Genova was done the same way as TEE 58 (arrival about 15.20). Also in summer 1979 the stop in Bellinzona was added. During the summers 1971-1980 arrival was one hour later. From winter 1979/80 the section Basel-Zürich was only operated on working days and this section was completely abandoned winter 1980/1981, summer 1981 and from summer 1982. Renumbered in TEE 57.
