TEE ZP/40 - l'Arbalète
Introduced in the summer of 1957 as an early connection from Zürich to
Paris. Departure in Zürich about 6.45, arrival in Paris about 13.00. Stops:
Zürich-Basel-Mulhouse-Belfort-Chaumont-Troyes-Paris Est.
The number ZP was used in Switzerland, the number 40 in France.
Renumbered in TEE 70/8.
TEE 47/PZ - l'Arbalète
Reversal of the previous. Departure in Paris about 18.20, arraival in
Zürich about 0.25. The number 47 was used in France, the number
PZ in Switzerland. Renumbered in TEE 7/79.
Summer 1963-Winter 1966/67
TEE 70/8 - l'Arbalète
Renumbering of TEE ZP/40. Since the winter of 1963/64 the stops in
Belfort, Chaumont and Troyes were omitted, with a slightly faster
running time; departure in Zürich moved to 7.00. In the summer of
1964 also the stop in Mulhouse was omitted. The number 70 was
used in Switzerland, the number 8 in France. Renumbered in TEE 66.
TEE 7/79 - l'Arbalète
Renumbering of TEE 47/PZ. Reversal of TEE 70/8. In the winter of
1963/64 the stops in Belfort, Chaumont and Troyes were omitted.
Since the summer of 1964 also the stop in Mulhouse was omitted.
The running time changed slightly with a departure of about 17.30
and an arrival of about 23.15. The number 7
was used in France, the number 79 in Switzerland.

Summer 1967-Winter 1978/79
TEE 64 - l'Arbalète [Summer 1971-Winter 1978/79]
Renumbering of TEE 66. In the winter of 1973 the stop in Troyes was
added back. During the summers of 1976 to 1978 (daylight saving time
in France but not in Switzerland) the train had the same departure time
in Switzerland with an arrival in France one hour later. The service
was abandoned in the summer of 1979.
TEE 65 - l'Arbalète
Successor of TEE 7/79. Unlike the other direction the stop in Troyes was
never added back. During DST in France (and not in Switzerland) the
train departed at the same time in France with an arrival one hour earlier.
Abandoned in the summer of 1979.
TEE 66 - l'Arbalète [Summer 1967-Winter 1970/71]
Renumbering of TEE 70/8. Since the winter of 1969/70 the train stopped
again in Mulhouse and Belfort. In the summer of 1971 renumered in TEE 64.
