Summer 1957-Winter 1962/63

TEE ZA/30 - Edelweiss

Started as a connection between Zürich and Amsterdam, departure about 11.45, arrival about 21.50. Stops: Zürich-Basel-Mulhouse-Strasbourg- Metz-Thionville-Luxembourg/Luxembourg-Arlon-Namur-Brussel Noord/ Brussel Noord-Antwerpen-Roosendaal-Rotterdam-Den Haag HS-Amsterdam. The number ZA was used in Switzerland, the number 30 in the remaining countries. Renumbered (in Switzerland) in summer 1963 to TEE 75/30.

TEE 31/AZ - Edelweiss

Reversal of TEE ZA/30. Departure about 11.10, arrival about 21.25. In the course of time put one hour earlier (and a still earlier arrival of about 20.00). The number AZ was used in Switzerland, the number 31 in the other countries. In Swizerland renumbered in summer 1963 to TEE 76/31.

Summer 1963-Winter 1966/67

TEE 75/30 - Edelweiss

Renumbering (in Switzerland) of TEE ZA/30. The number 75 was used in Switzerland, the number 30 in the other countries. In summer 1965 a stop was added in Bruxelles Quartier Léopold (just before Brussel Noord). Renumbered again (in Switzerland) in the summer of 1967 to TEE 30.

TEE 31/76 - Edelweiss

Also a renumbering, now of TEE 31/AZ. The number 76 was used in Switzerland, the number 31 in the other countries. Also here in the summer of 1965 the stop in Bruxelles Quartier Léopold was added. And also her renumbered in the summer of 1967 to TEE 31.

Summer 1967-Winter 1970/71

TEE 30 - Edelweiss

Re-renumbering of TEE 75/30. Speeded up in the summer of 1969 to a departure of about 11.45 and an arrival of about 21.30. And again renumbered, now to TEE 90.

TEE 31 - Edelweiss

Similar with TEE 31/76. Also speeded up with an arrival 15 minutes earlier, and also renumbered; to TEE 91.

Summer 1971-Winter 1973/74

TEE 90 - Edelweiss

Again a renumbering of TEE 30. In the summer of 1974 the structure on this route was drastically changed, see below.

TEE 91 - Edelweiss

Ex TEE 31. Restructured (as TEE 93) in summer 1974.

Summer 1974-Winter 1980/81

TEE 90 - Edelweiss

Successor of the previous form, now however truncated to Brussels with the stops: Zürich-Basel-Mulhouse-Colmar-Strasbourg-Metz-Thionville- Luxembourg/Luxembourg-Arlon-Namur-Bruxelles Quartier Léopold- Brussel Noord-Bruxelles Midi. Morning train with a departure of about 7.00 and an arrival of about 14.05. In the summers of 1977 and 1978 (daylight saving time in Belgium but not in Switzerland) the train had the same departure time but arrived one hour later. Abandoned in the summer of 1979.

TEE 91 - Iris

New morning counterpart of TEE 90. Departure in Bruxelles Midi about 7.00 arrival in Zürich about 14.00. During the summers from 1977 to 1980 (DST in Belgium but not in Switzerland) the train had the same departure time and arrived one hour early. Abandoned in the summer of 1981.

TEE 92 - Iris

Evening form of TEE 90. Departure Zürich about 15.40 arrival in Brussels about 22.40. In the summer of 1979 a stop was added in Baden (only this direction). During the summers from 1977 to 1980 (DST in Belgium, not in Switzerland) the train had the same departure time and arrived one hour late. Also abandoned in the summer of 1981.

TEE 93 - Edelweiss

Evening counterpart of TEE 90. Departure Brussels about 16.15, arrival Zürich about 23.10. Also here when there was a time difference the departure remained the same with an arrival one hour later. Like the other Edelweiss this service was already abandoned in the summer of 1979.
