TEE 8/GM - Lemano
Train Genève-Milano with stops: Genève-Lausanne-Brig-Domodossola-Milano.
Timings changed considerably in the course of time, departure was at
first 17.30, moving forward to 19.40 and back to 15.00 in summer 1965.
The number 8 was used in Switzerland from the summer of 1963,
GM in Switzerland before that time and in Italy during the whole
period. Renumbered in TEE 15.
TEE MG/7 - Lemano
Reversal of TEE 8/GM with a fairly constant departure of about 9.05 and
arrival of about 13.20. 7 was used in Switzerland since summer
1963 and MG in Switzerland before that time and in Italy.
Renumbered in TEE 16.
Summer 1967-Winter 1970/71
TEE 15 - Lemano
Renumbering of TEE 8/GM now with a departure of about 13.15 and an
arrival of about 17.15. A stop was added in Sion in the summer of
1969. In summertime (DST in Italy) arrival was one hour later.
Renumbered in TEE 25.
TEE 16 - Lemano
Successor of TEE MG/7 with times changed to (about) departure 8.30
arrival 12.45 (from summer 1969 12.35). In the summer of 1969 a stop
in Sion was added. During the summers (daylight saving time in Italy,
not in Switzerland) departure was one hour later. Renumbered in TEE 24.
Summer 1971-Winter 1981/82
TEE 24 - Lemano
Successor of TEE 16. In the summer of 1972 departure was set 10 minutes later.
In the summer of 1975 Sion was abandoned and a stop in Stresa added.
During the summers of 1971 to 1979 departure was one hour later,
in the summer of 1980 arrival was one hour earlier.
Abandoned in the summer of 1982.
TEE 25 - Lemano
Successor of TEE 15. Departure set 10 minutes later in the summer of 1975
when Sion was abandoned and Stresa added. From the summer of 1977 the
train was running one hour later. In the summers of 1971 to 1979 (DST in
Italy) arrival was one hour later, in the summer of 1980 departure was
one hour earlier. Abandoned in summer 1982.
TEE 12024 - emergency Lemano
Emergency TEE in the winter of 1977/78 during the interuption between
Stresa and Domodossola. Running between Domodossola and Genève.
A similar addition was present on Cisalpin.
